Arrived at hotel no welcome from man at reception just ignored us had to find restaurant ourselves which is in an area at side of the bar very plain and basic menu was written on a peice of paper no drinks menu food was just pub food nothing special for a hotel waitresses were serving at the bar as well so were rushed off their feet just like eating in a pub really food not great

We were welcomed at reception then shown the dining room. A waitress offered us menus and took drinks orders. She was very pleasant ☺️ my friend and I both ordered fish and chips which was hot and the fish was lovely. Then we had desert which was also lovely very rich.
I had my reservations before I went after reading some of the negative reviews but we had a very nice experience and really enjoyed our meals.

We had fish chips and mushy peas fish was fine but chips were dry and no nice took our grandkhds with us 8n 11 evdn they wernt impressed .there was no atmosphere we were put in the bar ,a bit dark thiughtvwe were going to be in the conservatory so bit disappointed

Lunch was very nice served piping hot and tasted amazing had the steak pie and the meat just fell apart with a nice flavour. The restaurant is very pleasant atmosphere and the staff very friendly. Will go back.

Everything was very good and there was plenty of tea and coffee. The cost even included a glass of Prosecco.

Plenty of choice and food served was very tasty but the restaurant area itself was cold .
So , dress up cosy and enjoy a nice meal with good service.
