Beautiful building, beautiful views, plenty activities,
food delicious.
However, the dining hall was being repaired so we had dinner in the Bannockburn room, which was very impressive, but we felt very cold even though there were two fireplaces but there was no fire in them !
The beds were hard so we did not get a good nights sleep.

Should have chosen a different date, not a holiday weekend, as first day hotel, swimming pool and restaurant busy and noisy. 2nd day much more enjoyable, no children in swimming lanes with inflatables etc.

Not the most friendliest of welcoming, not sure if it was because we were a voucher! Pool staff welcoming & friendly. Food delicious, although service quite poor & had to ask several times to get served a drink, our dinner was served very quickly & before we were allowed to order a drink (as separate staff). Unfortunately neither of us slept much as pillows not comfortable & room exceptionally hot!

Bedroom was in need of some TLC, walls needed touched up, carpet dirty & lighting very dim. Was disappointed in the over all appearance of the hotel.

Everything was great with the exception of the service in the restaurant when we had our evening meal. We were brought our drinks order very quickly, however after a 30 minute wait I had to eventuqlly ask if we could order some food. When it came the food was delicious so no complaints on that ffront. There had obviously been a take with children at it next to us - they had left when we arrived. The table was covered in dirty cutlery, dirty napkins, half used jars of tomato ketchup amd half full glass of milk. The table was this way when we arrived and was still that way when we left 2 hours later. I feel these matters let the rest of what was a lovely stay down. The room we had was a lovely big room and big bathroom with all the expected amenities.

I was delighted to be given an excellent room with great views of the hills.
The bed was very comfortable but one small issue was uncomfortable hard pillows. But that did not distract from an enjoyable stay with great food and friendly professional staff

Good spacious, comfortable, recently refurbished room and wet room with fantastic views over Tweed valley. Food in restaurant was excellent.

From the moment we arrived we were met with excellent service and friendliness. Our room was absolutely lovely with an amazing view. Staff were all professional and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Food was delicious and varied. The leisure facilities were clean and well used. All on all an excellent break. Would definitely highly recommend and we will be back.
