This is the third year in a row that I have ensured that I have bought an Itison voucher for Kohler Waters Spa at the Old Course, St Andrews. Consistently good. Great value for money. A magical afternoon. The spa offers excellent facilities with a suggested plan for using the sauna, steam room, plunge pool, hydro pool, and swimming pool. The offer came with two hours use of the spa and that was sufficient time to do the circuit twice.. Highlight was the room which at certain times during the day is filled with foam to waist height, which you rub all over and then are doused in water. My friend and me had opted for the 25 minute facial which was marvellous. We rounded off the day with half hour relaxation in the room off the treatment area which was welcome.
The one course lunch which we had (both my friend and I chose duck salad) was very good. One little niggle is that we had only half an hour to fit this in and could have done with longer. Both of us might have fitted in dessert. I rather fancied the kharif and matcha panna cotta.
A few things which could have made the experience better but not essential:-
Body lotion in the changing rooms as well as the body wash, shampoo and conditioner.

Fabulous experience, lunch and spa facilities were amazing, staff were all so lovely and friendly, and the hot stone massage was so relaxing. Highly recommend!

The spa was lovely and the woman who gave me my treatment was great.
Unfortunately the reception staff clearly are not competent enough to be managing the spa.
The spa is advertised as an award winning 5* experience.
I paid with an itison voucher and had several correspondence with spa staff over email.
I was booked in eventually.
On leaving the spa I went to reception to check out and I was asked to pay a full treatment outstanding on my account, I had explained it was booked in under an itison voucher, there was much confusion, I had not been booked in for my correct treatment and missed out on an exfoliation and a moisturise.
This should not be happening in such a high end spa. Their was no offer to correct their mistake just a " oh sorry about that, that is a mistake on our part" .
I felt the young girls are out of their depth and didn't know how to handle the situation and I walked away without complaining as I did feel for them.
I don't know if it was lack of training and lack of management?
Work men also walked into the woman's changing area, quickly walked out again but again in a facility that advertisers as a high end spa this shouldn't be happening .
I feel the girls were trying their best but no way was that experience a five star!
I should of been offered to return to get the treatments I missed out on, this mistake should never had happened. I also received an email on my way home confirming the treatment that I should of received. Another baffling mistake.
I maybe would return again in the future depending on how my complaint is handled. I will contact someone at the hotel to share my experience !

It was an excellent experience and everything Id hoped for. The only negative was that a couple of the hairdryers did not work but otherwise it was a lovely day out and the staff were very friendly

So relaxing from start to finish. Fantastic spa facilities. Lovely staff and everyone enjoyed our lunch and treatments. Best part of the day was the freezing cold plunge pool. Such fun. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely spa but disappointed that we were only allocated half an hour for lunch. As our treatment was booked in right after our lunch we ended up having to rush our food. Worst still was that there were only two other people in the spa cafe. Feel lunch should be one hour long. I had asked this at time of booking but was told we are given half our slot and that it would be plenty time!
I would go back but not if only half an hour to eat!

From the reception staff to the therapists and the spa cafe they were all so welcoming and friendly and the facilities were amazing we will be back soon

The locker numbers can be tricky if you need spectacles to see the numbers - my friend snd I both locked ourselves out however the staff were quick to help and reset them for us.
Make sure you let them know size of glass of wine - my friend ordered a glass she wasn’t asked what size do not if a shock when we psid snd it was £24!

It was incredible. Will definitely be booking to go back again. The experience was luxurious and relaxing. I have never been to a spa that was this good! The staff were so friendly and kind. Everything was just fabulous about it!
