Lovely dinner. Friendly and efficient staff as usual.
Menu has changed (again!) since the last time we were there. Sad to see some favourites disappear.
We’ve never had a bad meal here - long may it continue.
Smart ,comfortable, relaxed ambience, very friendly, helpful staff, and with one small criticism, excellent food.

By all criteria this was a relaxed, enjoyable experience. I found one of my courses unduly oily,but otherwise no complaints at all

Bought a £50 spend voucher but couldn't use it on the lunch menu, we would have to pay the full menu prices. Ordered a Gin and Tonic. It arrived with the full can of tonic in glass, which I do not do. My husbands main course of Fish and Chips had to be sent back as the fish was burnt, they did change it but not the chips which were cold when the plate was returned. Would not be back.

menu was a bit restricted if u did not like ocean food, and some dishes were very expensive too, but our waiter made the experience enjoyable

Lovely food as usual.
Sadly their exceptional scallop starter has been replaced by a new version. Tasty enough, but not a patch on the old dish, which was the one of the main reasons we kept returning.
PLEASE BRING THE ORIGINAL BACK!
Pork chop was fantastic. Huge bit of meat plus perfect accompaniments.
Burger was as it always is - really well cooked and and delicious.
Service was very good and prompt at the beginning, but by 9pm they were obviously very short staffed. 2 staff members waiting tables and covering the bar.
Lovely quiet meal with friends

Met work friends for a Friday after work meal and it didn’t disappoint. This is my second time at table twenty eight but my friends hadn’t experienced it before so I was keen it met their expectations. Our visit showed consistency in quality of food and service wasn’t too bad either. We had starters main courses cocktails and lovely Rosè wine. There was gentle background music which didn’t interrupt conversations. The only downside is the toilet is located away from the restaurant and the merchant square itself is very quiet . Despite this , I would return
