Need to review your voucher policy

Bought this for my mum and dad for their Christmas. On the 9th January, they phoned to book it to be told there was no executive rooms available, the only thing they could offer was a small double room however, if you went onto the website to book, there was still executive rooms available. When my mum questioned this she was told they only keep so many rooms by for vouchers and when my mum asked how many executives rooms were kept by then, 1?, the response was she should have booked sooner. Totally understand companies have to make money but there was a big price difference between a small double and a executive so to just pocket that and not even offer something to make up for the price difference is pretty poor. And also, the excuse of they could have booked during the week to get the executive room isnt going to fly. If you only keep so many rooms aside for vouchers at the weekend then more for weekdays, you should be doing separate vouchers for weekends and weekdays then.

Loved the resort and spa however the entrance of the hotel was up a lane which was pitch dark at night making leaving somewhat hazardous. Food was just okay and we travelled out rather than eat again in the restaurant. We were in a family room…poor sound proofing above and a lot of noise from the hallway. We were awake both mornings at 7.30am due to the noise. We did however really enjoy our stay and loved Arran as a whole.,

This hotel is fabulous, beautiful and clean. The staff are exceptional from check in to dinner service they are very friendly.

Hotel good but hardly any availability to book two rooms so ended up paying to upgrade quite a considerable amount otherwise could not use vouchers. Not a great experience.
Luxurious stay with excellent customer service

I am a regular visitor to the Auchrannie because of the level of comfort and consistently excellent customer service. This time I visited with a friend and we stayed in one of the two bedroom retreats, which exceeded all my expectations. It was warm, cosy, clean, very well equipped with all the usual luxury touches. With special thanks to Mark from the maintenance team who helped us with our kettle so quickly and efficiently, and to the reception team members who were so helpful and reassuring when we were faced with cancelled ferries on the day of our return. We were fortunate enough to catch the only ferry that managed to reach the mainland from Lochranza that day. Unaware of this, though, the reception team called us to make sure we were ok and to find out if we needed any help should we not have been able to get off the island. We really appreciated their approach.
