Very nice hotel with fantastic period settings.
Dinning room had open fire on and made dining room very cozy.
Sunday roast was very good.
Was expecting roast beef and not roast pork.
But was very nice with accompanying roast chicken and a selection of roast vegetables and Yorkshire pudding and gravy.
Very nice coffee and homemade shortbread to follow in the bar.
Pleasant staff and made to feel very welcome.

Disappointing Sunday Roast Experience
We booked a 1:30 pm slot for the Sunday Roasting Board on 8th June, and sadly, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. On arrival, we were given a glass of water, but no further drinks service was offered throughout the meal.
After a 35-minute wait, the food arrived — a chicken breast and pan-fried gammon. This did not resemble a traditional roast at all. The Yorkshire puddings were inedible: hard on the outside, rubbery on the inside, and impossible to cut. We requested replacements, only to be served the same inedible items again.
The food overall was lacklustre, bland, and far below expectations. Service was equally poor. We noticed other diners facing the same issues. One group of four with a baby received only one roasting board initially — so while one couple finished their meal, the other had to wait so long that they took the restless baby outside while their food was finally served.
Even at the discounted Itison price, this was vastly overpriced. We certainly won’t be returning to this hotel.

We had lunch with friends in the intimate rear dining room which made it a cosy experience. It was their first time having Sunday lunch at Norwood Hall we have been for Sunday lunch before plus we had our Daughter’s wedding here.
We all enjoyed very tasty food which was beautifully presented on a sharing board. The choice of beef and pork was cooked to perfection, so was the pork crackling and a generous portion. There were plenty of roast potatoes and a variety of vegetables to go with the meats, and a jug of gravy.
We all opted for a dessert to complete our meal. Again, beautifully presented and very tasty.
The staff were as usual efficient and friendly.
Overall a delightful experience.
