We decided to treat my Mum to a High Tea for her birthday at The Potting Shed.
Friendly, welcoming staff greeted us and we sat at one of their many cosy tables.
The staff presented the High Tea with a beautifully personalised platter with a HAPPY BIRTHDAY message written on it and candles also and all sang to my Mum too!! 🤩This totally made her day and was a wonderful touch from their team and very much appreciated!🥳🎂🙌
We thoroughly enjoyed our High Tea Experience and finished it off with some lovely Prosecco! 🥂🍾
The Manager (I think her name was Jordan) checked on us throughout to see if we were needing anything and we complimented her and the teams wonderful and attentive service.
These little personal touches and efforts really make all the difference and the ambiance and attractive setting inside makes it so nice to relax in.
Definitely a lovely experience and we look forward to returning many more times!
Thanks again! 😃👍

Always enjoyed lunch at the potting shed so when the itison came up decided to buy it. Total disappointment, stale sandwiches, frozen cakes (nothing like the cakes available to purchase in the cabinet) uncooked scones (yip you read that right!) then brought a total flat scone back (again nothing like the scones available in the cabinet. We did get asked when we first arrived was it an itison voucher or just si afternoon tea which made us wonder if they had two different ones. Also extra charge for a cappuccino which is also unusual with these vouchers. Would still go for lunch but certainly not this again.

The setting for afternoon tea was lovely and created a nice atmosphere, which made for a pleasant start. I had noted when booking that we were celebrating a 40th birthday, but unfortunately there were no touches to acknowledge the occasion – not even a banner or small gesture, which was a little disappointing.
The food itself was nice, but the portions felt on the small side. The scones were miniature, and as there was only one of each variety, we had to decide between fruit or plain rather than each being able to enjoy both. The cakes were average overall – in particular, the single red velvet slice had to be halved between two people and was very heavy and stodgy rather than light and indulgent.
Overall, the experience was enjoyable but underwhelming in places. A bit more attention to detail and generosity with the portions would have made it feel much more special, especially for a milestone celebration.

Delicious food, and plenty for 2 people. Sandwich choices were fab! Service was 1st class. Amazing value for Afternoon Tea. Will definitely buy again, and would recommend

We had been to a charity fashion show upstairs at the venue.
We then went downstairs where we had booked afternoon tea. We enjoyed our Prosecco along with our afternoon tea. Beautifully filled, wraps, sandwiches, scones with fresh cream, butter and jam, cakes and tray bakes.

Lovely venue, great vibe. Staff were pleasant & attentive. Lovely glass of Prosecco to start. Filter coffee was cold by the time the food arrived. Sandwiches were lovely however only 6 small fingers between 2. Cakes tasted like they were shop bought so overall we were disappointed. I would return to the Potting Shed however, not for Afternoon Tea, it wasn’t worth the money.
