Met a friend at The Old Fish Bar as a catch up and belated birthday dinner.
The manager greeted us, told us about the history of the place, and explained the menu. The menu itself had plenty of choice, the courses were freshly made, full of flavour and good sized portions.
It was a lovely night and we weren't rushed out, in fact our booking was at 6.30 and we didn't leave until after 9pm

Have been meaning to try the place since it opened and was pleased to get this Itison deal - however won't be back as there are numerous better restaurants in Shawlands

Amazing food, fantastic service. Menu was fresh and interesting, drinks were delicious - especially the sour rum cocktail at the end. The old features of the building have been lovingly restored and the whole place has a great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Our second visit to The Old Fish Bar and it didn't disappoint. I actually felt the small plates more filling than when we had the three courses so look forward to trying the new 'four course Italian offering'. See you soon.
