We had a delicious afternoon tea with lovely food and very pleasant and attentive waiting staff. It was a pleasurable experience and we will go back. The whole ambience was really lovely and there is loads of parking.

The surroundings, hotel and food were lovely. My only complaint was the time it took for them to serve us. We were booked for 1 pm and at 1.40pm still had no food. It was shortly after, that I asked how long the food will take and within a couple of minutes we were being given our food.
Staff very pleasant but thin on the ground when the bar and restaurant were busy.

It was everything I expected, and more!
Sausage rolls to die for, lovely fresh sandwiches, scones, with cream and jam and the most beautiful little cakes - not only delicious, but very pretty!
Best afternoon tea ever!

The positive was a warm and friendly welcome from the staff in a busy venue hosting a wedding and birthday party alongside lunchtime trade due to the gala day and itison voucher holders. Service was a bit slow but tea was topped up as we had drunk two cups before the high tea arrived.
The negatives, the hotel lacks curb appeal, very run down outside, weeds all over the path and steps, peeling paint and mould on the rendir are a bit off putting. The sandwich es were poor quality with prepacked tasteless roast beef and we each had three triangle sized sandwhiches each. That equates to less than three slices of bread between us. The expression size cup of soup and 1/3 of a sausage roll each were lovely. However the scones were a massive disappointment too heavy dry and doughy too eat. The other cakes on offer were unremarkable and bland. Sadly even with the offer this was not good value for money. Left both disappointed and hungry.
