There is no doubt that Cecchinis, Ardrossan has a lovely setting. When my group went in it was relatively quiet and staff were attentive. The menu for the pizz/pasta with wine deal was very restricted, which particularly impacted upon my sister in law who is vegetarian.
When the food arrived it looked decent enough, although the pizza edges were burnt. Definitely a little lacking in toppings and a lot in cheese. Bang average at best and if wed been paying full price would have been extremely disappointing. The pasta dish was a reasonable enough portion but was very bland. We also ordered a portion of chilli and parmesan fries, which was a waste of time. A potion of fries with some chilli powder and grated parmesan sprinkled on top. At that price! Seriously?!
The only saving grace for this deal is the wine. Because it would be so expensive in the first ace you actually feel you are getting a deal.
By the time we left it was really busy. With no one on hand to wish us Arrividerci, something that I find annoying, we left

From the moment we entered the restaurant we were welcomed, seated and menus given. Service was relaxed but attentive. Food was well presented and delicious. Portions were of normal size even though this was a promotion.The atmosphere is always welcoming and very relaxing no matter what time of day you dine. Really recommend this restaurant in Ayr.

The food was excellent and good service. The voucher was for pasta and pizza. Supplement on lasagne (pasta) - supplement on pizza. Too much on top of voucher

Food was very good, ordered barga pizza which was delicious, nice and thin base and cooked to perfection, also had pasta arrabiatto which was very good. Will dine again oh and sticky toffee pudding was awesome 👌
