Not enough choice
Reviewed on
No complaints about place, staff and service. Our voucher only allowed us a very limited choice. Pork, Fishcake or vegetarian dish for mains. The Corinthian was offering 2 courses for £20 lunch which wasn’t much less than what our voucher costs and possibly a bigger choice would have been available. We would probably check out restaurants own offers before purchasing voucher.
The cocktails and starters were good, however the main courses were very small and not great. The menu is very limiteTh.

A lovely greeting from the manager as we arrived. Nice cosy table as requested. Service first class- food delicious and delivered in such beautiful surroundings.

This was a gift for my sister and her husband. They went yesterday and had a fantastic time. They both loved the food and cocktails, they thoroughly enjoyed it.

Starters were ok (lamb terrine) but the pork main was salty beyond salty. When I sent it back, they returned to tell me another was being prepared when I tequested it to be changed to chicken. The chicken even came out salty then the dessert took ages (which had been paid for) so we just left….unsatisfied. The only good thing was the waiter who we had a bit of a laugh with.
a big improvement on the last main meal i had in 2025

Nice venue - poor service

A great setting centrally located. However the dining experience was marred by two specific issues.
Firstly the venue had an open mic event on when we dined which meant that dinner conversations were nigh impossible due to the volume from the performers.
Secondly having taken our orders for starters, mains and sweets we had to ask on three occasions for our food to be served as we were just left with no one apparently responsible for our food to be served in a timely fashion. This was most unfortunate as the food once served was really good.
