Nice room, poor food, poor bar service
Reviewed on
Lovely room, spotless with tea/coffee facilities and great view down the Clyde.
Sunday lunch was poor. Two options for mains (chicken & (what was described as) vegetable wellington. I couldn’t identify anything in the soft fishcake style gooey thing. Bland and uninteresting and definitely not edible. Companion had chicken - said it was nice.
Bar couldn’t serve me coffee until someone went off and found milk for the machine - then at just after 10pm wouldn’t make me coffee (to have with Tia Maria) as the machine had been cleaned. 4 people behind the bar - 2 rudely saying they’re not serving.
Very handy for trips to The Armadillo, SEC and the OVO

The location was a plus. Negatives were the batteries needed to be changed on the remote for TV and this required a visit from maintenance. The tea and coffee tray had to be moved for power and I wasn't aware that this was done by pulling up a power tower from the dressing table. There were no instructions. I crawled on the floor to plug in the hairdryer. In the morning work was being undertaken on the lift and it sounded as though they were drilling next door and we could smell burning. We checked out earlier than we had intended.

Had a great overnight at crowne plaza, staff were polite and professional, pool was great. Only one thing wrong was supposed to be Sunday roast but that's only available 1pm til 3pm which is odd as check in was 3pm so we couldn't get that but had other menu choices which was delicious
