A nice selection of savoury and sweet items, with a starter of lentil soup. I enjoyed it a lot thought my wife thought there were a bit too many oatcake based items.
Best afternoon tea we’ve had !

The young girl that was on service was delightful and the surroundings were fab (we were in the conservatory) however we were a little disappointed at the slow service, having to actually ask for our cake stand, however, the young lady sincerely apologised and the food was lovely.

Very average afternoon tea

Have been here once before and was looking forward to returning. As before the staff are lovely, attentive and friendly. The conservatory was chilly and it’s so quiet. Tea and coffee are unlimited so that’s good but it’s the food that really lets this down. Two small savouries were warm and ok. 2 tiny and slight stale sandwiches each and 2 oatcakes each were provided. Afternoon tea should have nice sandwiches in my opinion. We had one small scone each with jam and proper clotted cream which was nice. Other sweet treats were very small and boring. The biggest disappointment were ‘chef’s marshmallows’. These were the tiny ones from a bag that are used on top of a hot chocolate. Guess it’s cheap and cheerful but I wouldn’t return.
Wonderful and Tasty

I’ve now had afternoon tea here twice and will be buying more vouchers. It’s not been busy when we’ve visited but that didn’t bother us in the slightest. The conservatory/dining area is always beautiful(if a tad chilly in winter). We got both savoury and sweet food in 3 separate ‘rounds’. Unlimited tea and coffee. The food is more homemade and not fancy or pretentious. We took my 85 year old aunt and uncle and they love it too. Please don’t be put off if the car park is quiet etc.
