This property sits in a beautiful part of Dundee an old mansion converted into a guest house,
It was not very clean, the shower head was filthy and my partner wouldn't use it, we used the bath which was very inconveni, the food, if it was on the menu and the price of it in my opinion very extremely expensive not great, same as breakfast,
Overall poor. I wouldn't recommend it

We were at Taypark House 2 years ago and had a wonderful stay. This time it was awful. Meal prices were extortionate for what you got. We were put in a small room for Dinner as there was a function in Dining Room. Loud music and very noisy till 11.30 and then another hour outside with people waiting for taxis. Cleanliness in room was non existent. Carpet was stained and everywhere in room needed a dust. Worst of all was a badly stained pillow. We will not return.

First impressions were good on arrival. However, on inspecting the room we found that it was dirty. The bathroom floor in particular could do with a good wash, not just a brush over. There was a large cobweb behind the sink pedestal and I disposed of a large spider on the headboard of the bed. The carpets were stained, probably caused by spilled drinks. My wife found a garment tag on the bed which should not have been there if the bed had been freshly made. On switching the shower on, the shower head fell to the floor because the shower head holder was broken. The sink didn't have a plug which worked, so had to shave with running water.
The dining room was disappointing in that the floor was excessively marked. Maybe a surface sanding might make an improvement.
The outside bar and area along the boardwalk could do with a good clean. It's difficult to see how they ever cater for wedding parties.
Rant over! One good thing though- the food was very nice.

The staff at Taypark were lovely and the hotel itself is nice with fabulous views. We were given a complimentary upgrade to the Botanic Suite which was lovely.
However the outside bar area was closed and was a mess.
The gin bar was not well stocked - only a handful of gins available and only 2 beers on.
The restaurant menu was not very varied - quite unusual dishes and ingredients and was very expensive..
We chose steaks but were told there weren't any - we eventually had beef burgers - not what we wanted to eat in a nice hotel !
Desserts were nice.
Breakfast was again, either items not available or just not listened to, as a few things forgotten or offered but then told not available.
All in all we had a nice time, I think they just need to be more well stocked with their catering.

It did not seem that the carpets had been cleaned for sometime
Water supply was good and the water in the showers was hot, but there was no plug in the wash hand basin

Was very pleased with stay at this hotel. The couple running it were very nice and helpful. The hotel and room was really nice. The location was although not in city centre only 10 mins by bus. The only complaint was a stain on the carpet which annoyed me every time I looked at it. That being said I did look at availability as I would love to go back
Very mixed. Staff lovely. But such a lack of choice for Saturday night dinner.

Rather tired looking since our last stay. Staff very friendly & helpful. Friday dinner nice but Saturday night dinner such a disappointment. Was there for a special occasion & really no choice on the menu. Had we been aware of this would have dined elsewhere.
