Disappointing menu. Lovely service and restaurant.

The menu provided for the itison deal was extremely disappointing. The choice of Italian dishes was poor. You were given a sheet of paper with the food choices not even a menu. I would have expected some authentic Italian dishes to be included to experience the food and to encourage you to return. Staff were really lovely though and attentive.

First time at Lucianos since the refurbishment...lovely meal and drinks we headed through to Vesp Bar for a few more will definitely return...Itison Deal was first class...just a pity they can't change the sparkling wine on the offer to an ordinary wine maybe Itison can ask this for future offers.
An enjoyable experience

We bought the ITISON voucher in November but only got around to visiting Luciano's and Vespa Bar yesterday evening but it was well worth the wait as the food, atmosphere, decor and background music were all great.
The deal included 3 courses and a glass of fizz each and every course was well cooked and plentiful and tasty. We had Pate and Mozzarella sticks to start, risotto and pizza mains and Nutella with ice cream to finish, (I couldn't eat all off the pizza, and the server asked if I wanted the remainder boxed to take home).
The servers were friendly and took the time to chat and joke with us, which we appreciated.
This was our first visit to Luciano's and Vespa but hopefully it won't be our last.
Absolutely awful

Extremely disappointing from start to finish.
Starter of bruschetta soggy & tomatoes hard & tasteless. Lasagne the worst I have ever had… would certainly not call it a lasagne… 2 layers of pasta with tasteless mince in the middle, with mozzarella on the top & spoon of ariabata sauce poured on top.
To round it off both myself & my husband were unwell. Will not be back & would not recommend.
Always a delight to visit. Food, staff and overall experience is 1st class

Venue upgrade is looking good and friendly staff. Food was average& limited choices on the set & kids menun

Venue interior upgrade is lovely and friendly , polite and attentive staff. Was not overly impressed with the set/market and kids menu's choices. Food was average , with the our mains drenched in a tomato sauce and our carbonara laden with oil.
Wont be rushing back and, therefore will not be recommending to others.
Slow Service

It was really busy so the service was slow. The chicken was over cooked, not enough veg or potatoes. My daughter’s pizza was tasteless. The sticky toffee pudding wasn’t warm enough & we did wait a while for it.
Will return

We had been to the previous restaurant a while ago and promised not to go back again.
When the opportunity came to try Luciano's we were not disappointed. Ambience was lovely, meals were excellent and there were smiles all round from staff.
Have already passed our experience off to friends.
Disappointing - food average and poor service.

Lovely restaurant and surroundings. We were seated and provided with menus, however, given no guidance as to which menu we should be ordering from and we had to ask another waitress. Despite providing voucher, we were asked for a drinks order and had to state we wanted a sparkling glass of wine included in our offer. Food was average with poor service. Waitresses appeared as if they would rather be somewhere else and not very attentive. When bill arrived, we were charged £2 each for fizz which we questioned and were provided a new bill with no apology for the error. Same as it could be such a lovely restaurant. We won't be returning.
