The food is really nice and all of the staff are efficient and friendly .
However when we were leaving the restaurant I checked with one of the staff that all was good , we had not had any extras but just to make sure .
He went onto the computer and presented a bill of £39.99 p when I queried this it was because we had ate on an evening slot (4.45pm) and there was a surcharge . I had checked the small print before booking and there is no mention of this I therefore refused to pay this , all was settled amicably with the floor manager who stated that this is happening all the time with these vouchers . On an earlier visit we were only allowed to dine on an afternoon so Rio Brazilian have changed the timing but have failed to mention the surcharge . If I had paid this surcharge I would have actually paid more than full price .

We had a fantastic time at Rio Brazilian Steakhouse in Durham. We were greeted with a warm welcome, menu explained clearly. There was a great selection on the Salad Bar and the meats that are carved at your table, each and every one of them were cooked to perfection and so tasty and there was a lot of them, we were absolutely stuffed so no room for dessert but they also looked lovely. The deal came with a bottle of wine included which was absolutely delicious too. All the staff were so friendly too and it had a great ambiance. Well worth it.
