Roast beef lunch very disappointing. Not up to usual high standards. Meal not hot Potatoes soggy along with Yorkshire pudding. Service also slow. Lack of staff

The food was very good. Arrived at 12:50 for a 1pm booking told to wait in lounge and at 1:15 had to ask if our table was ready which it was . Two of the staff did not seem to know what they were doing.
We added drinks to the bill and that was a fiasco getting the bill. Pretty disappointed because any time we have been there it was very good. As I said food was very good but spoiled by average service,

What a lovely hotel, grounds & gardens well worth exploring.

A very relaxing enjoyable meal with very friendly and helpful staff. The service was good with a good choice of dishes including gluten free options. The food was excellent.

The food was all top notch and worth driving from a distance. The table had a great view of the garden which was lovely even in November.
Note to hotel- although the risotto was deliciously creamy, the vegetarian in the party had food envy and would have liked a nut roast to be upsides with the roast beef on offer 🤣

Great food and service the only negative was that the bread served was stale
