A pleasant surprise

This was a pleasant surprise as I really had no idea this was a year round venue that the public could visit. Its in the University campus and I did know it existed but thought it was only for the residents staying. Its a modern,cosy venue. Not huge , but roomy enough. The menu is well selected to suit most tastes. Food came well presented and well balanced. Staff were cheery and friendly.
The outside area is so peaceful.

We ordered cheese platter and it was served without any crackers or bread even though butter was on the platter

The sharing platter was nothing like the one pictured on the offer, won't be back.

This was the first time id been and was bery impressed. I didn't know this restaurant existed. It wasn't too bust but felt cosy and the service and food were excellent.

Delicious food very well presented by friendly staff in a very attractive setting. Good value too. Only criticism was that food took a long time to arrive but copious apologies were offered.

We were a table of four guests and we ordered the three course menu, the food was nice but I wouldn’t go much further than that, my son’s burger bun was definitely burnt, one of our orders was late out on each course but the staff were very apologetic and very friendly and the cocktails were very nice.

The servers couldn’t do enough. Very attentive and helpful. Thanks to them. The food however was poor. Terrine tasteless, prawns swimming in chorizo oil and our steak was cold. We didn’t bother with dessert.
Atmosphere was sadly lacking too.
We won’t be back.
