Bubbles, Bakes & Bliss in St Andrews
Reviewed on
We recently enjoyed an Afternoon Tea with Prosecco for two at Hatch in St Andrews, and it was a genuinely lovely experience from start to finish. The setting is perfect—right in the heart of town, making it an ideal spot to relax and watch the world go by.
The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. The selection of sandwiches was delicious, with a great variety to suit different tastes. The cakes were indulgent without being too heavy, and the scone was a standout—light, fluffy, and served with generous portions of jam and cream.
One of the best touches was the unlimited coffee, which meant we could really take our time and enjoy the whole experience without feeling rushed. The Prosecco added that extra bit of sparkle and made it feel like a proper treat.
What really made the visit special, though, was the staff. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness.
All in all, a fantastic afternoon in a great location—highly recommended if you’re looking for a relaxing and indulgent treat in St Andrews.

It was lovely.
The way it was laid out was confusing. Sandwiches first ok. Then the stand. Granola on the top with a pate tart and a savoury waffle on the bottom plate. Sweet cakes in between.
Surely all the savouries should be together. Just a little more thought as to how the meal is presented.
Sandwiches came first and all the rest arrived a few minutes later. Would be good if all arrived at the same time.
Liked the look of the granola but would have started with this if given the opportunity.
Absolutely perfect in every way!

The most beautiful afternoon tea for four with perfect service, the most delicious scones, sandwiches, granola and handmade cakes. We took the Prosecco option and were surprised and happy to find they served a non alcoholic option! We didnt know about Hatch until our visit, but will definitely return for lunch or afternoon coffee. Thanks to the team who took such care of our visit. And please do spread the word. It is a privately owned business and everything is made in-house, a rarity in this over processed food world.
