We opted for the steak meal and waited 30 minutes. When it arrived, although cooked medium rare, it was very tough and completely tasteless. We caught the attention of a member of staff who offered us a replacement but we said we did not want to wait another 30 minutes. Said that as they had put the voucher through, they could not offer a refund. We opted for fish and chips which was ok. At no time did anyone ask if the meal was satisfactory and no offer of another drink despite the almost one hour we had waited. No apology when we left. The menu itself is pretty poor. We felt it is mainly a place for drinks rather than a restaurant.

Booked here for a friends birthday lunch, had a voucher for 2 mains & a drink, good choice, great service, value for money, lovely location overlooking the River Tyne, highly recommend!! ⭐️
