our first impression of the hotel
was tempered by discovering that we had to pay a £75 supplement for staying Saturday night on top of the price we had paid for the Itison voucher so this was a bit of a shock and felt steep.
However the room was comfortable and quite well fitted out. although just 2 cans of water, 2 bag of crisps and 2 biscuits felt a bit mean.
Breakfast was excellent with a great buffet plus some nice à la carte options. The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
The only other point would be that we did report to reception that the bin in the bathroom was broken on the first evening and despite being told it would be replaced, it wasn’t.

Car parking is shambolic

Arrived at car park and found several spaces, so parked and went to the hotel. Told them I had parked in their car park to be told I needed to go on a ready list to show I wanted a space and when one became available I would then be put on an actual list. I was given parking options and costs to park elsewhere which we did.
Following morning asked reception again if space was available and the same receptionist actually asked if we wanted to go on the actual list. By this point I was losing the will to live. Got a space and then when checking out the following day was told parking was £16. After all the discussions and arguments we had with reception, not once was there mention of a charge.
Itison also need to show on the email voucher they send you that there is also a £75 charge for using the voucher on a Saturday. It was only when we downloaded the voucher we saw the small print. Not impressed and won’t use again.

Perfect location minutes from Shambles. Modern clean and comfortable rooms. Huge bed. Quality toiletries supplied. Breakfast delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Couldn’t fault it. Highly recommend.

We had a great few days and can’t faulty anything. Very quick early check in with very nice young man, Lovely room with lovely decor and very well appointed. The decor throughout the hotel was very smart. Breakfast definitely one of the best selection I’ve been had
