This was our first visit, although we have been to many venues for afternoon tea the cart shed is one of the best. Friendly and good service plus an amazing platter of savory and sweet plus choice of loose teas or selection of coffees. It’s a bonus to be able to browse the five different antique shops where staff are also friendly and helpfull with thier wide range of products. We will definately be back and have recommended to family & friends. They also have outside seating at restuarant if weather is good plus a separate area of park benches & tables if you prefer your own picnic with family and great views of the Tay valley.
Excellent Food

The food was excellent, a gentleman came and described everything about the food, the soup was lovely although unexpected, the other savoury items were all fresh and delicious. There was a good mixture of sweet items and we were advised that boxes were available if needed to take away any uneaten food which we did require. The service at the start was a little confusing as we thought/assumed that the afternoon tea would be a set item but after putting down our crockery and cutlery we were presented with a menu! This was explained to us later that it was only to choose our drinks from. The setting was rustic but appeared very clean, from our look at the menu they seemed to have a good choice of meals and snacks available generally.

Really enjoyed our afternoon tea at Cart Shed. Plentiful, apart from 3 tiers set, there was soup and pies on the side, couldn’t finish it, staff gave us a box to take home.
Always a brilliant Experience.

This is the second time we have went for afternoon tea at the cart shed using an itison voucher. We were made very welcomed when we first arrived. Seated at our table the staff were very friendly and attentive. We got soup to start in a small vintage tea cup. We then had stroganoff with a giant meatball this was also served in a tea cup. That was all lovely. Then our afternoon tea stand came out. It had savoury rolls on the bottom a selection of cakes and scones with jam and craam. Everything was very tasty. The atmosphere is lovely with a vintage feel. Would definitely recommend and will be back again.

My friend & I had the afternoon tea, it was delightful, started off with tomato & red pepper soup in a cup, it was delicious 😋 then came the stand with all the goodies, WOW!! So much food & a macaroni cheese tart, lovely & warm, lovely change from a sausage roll, we had that with our soup then managed a finger roll each & a scone with jam & clotted cream, everyyelsd had to go in a box to take home, we couldn't fault it, staff were really lovely

So much delicious food in our afternoon tea that we took half of it home. Excellent value for money. Great variety to suit everyone. The ambience in the quirky and quaint surroundings is lovely with low background music to give atmosphere but low enough to have a conversation. The staff are wonderful. Discreetly on hand if needed but not intrusive. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon!

We visited this week and thoroughly enjoyed two celiac-friendly afternoon teas. The tearoom is lovely, the staff are friendly, and the attached Rait Antiques Centre was a joy to peruse.
