Friendly and efficient staff food not so good

Friendly and efficient staff.
Starters of haggis bonbons and Cullen skink fishcake were lovely. Husbands steak sandwich with fries was good.
However. I opted for the steak and ale pie with mashed potatoes. Steak was very tough and I left most of it. Potatoes were so dry, I left most of them as well. Disappointed as it looked good when served .
The best.

Excellent quality. Food choices superb and every course we had was terrific while we really enjoyed the bottle of wine that was part of the offer. Service was first class and waiting staff were lovely, Quinn in particular. We loved the quality of the background music and the whole ambience so much so we went 3 times during our visit to Aberdeen.

Service and food served to us was excellent as per previous visits, but to be advised dishes on the main menu carry an extra charge of £3 was disappointing, also cost of a pint and pint shandy at nearly £12 was a bit like the steps down to bar lounge, steep, for this establishment. Changed their pricing policy, it didn’t work for me.
