My friend and I really enjoyed our lunch. A late celebration of our May birthdays. Good choice and very nice food. The location is lovely and peaceful. The staff are friendly and efficient. Everything was perfect.

A nice setting. When we arrived, the member of staff said to sit anywhere. We went to sit at. Table and she said ‘sorry not there, that’s for an afternoon tea’ nothing on the table to suggest that. I ordered fish and chips. The chips were too thick and the fish had figgy batter. My husband ordered sausage and mash and there was far too much pea shoots on top and onion gravy had far too many onions in it. Dry disappointed.

The Sun Inn is very welcoming and stylishly decorated and furnished. The staff are all very friendly and the service was excellent. Our Itison two course meal was great value for money and the food was good.

Great menu, and as it was an Itison Voucher deal that made things really good and easy.
We sat in one of the booths at the side of the restaurant, that was just perfect.

Lovely place, very cosy and friendly staff. Just a pity the breakfast was a bit disappointing, burnt potato command hard fried eggs.

We’ve visited the Sun Inn a lot over the years and it is sad to see how much it has gone downhill. It looks awfully maintained from the outside and even internally the walls and ceilings are chipped and shabby. You could forgive that if the food was still good but it’s not. Everything was overcooked, fish was soggy and mushy peas were beige. Also watch out for the drinks that come with the itison deal as they were added to the bill.
