Average food, average service

This was my first visit to the Adamson and sadly I was disappointed. The food was average and the service was slow despite it not being all that busy. Probably won't bother returning.
Lovely lunch - again!

I went with my husband as we had never been to the Adamson before and wanted to try it out. The food was excellent and the service was good, although a smile or two would have been welcome. The experience was slightly spoiled by a screaming toddler that seemed to belong to someone associated with the restaurant.
Lovely service and big choice of menu

Greasy chips but apart from that everything else amazing

First visit to The Adamson. Friendly greeting as we entered. Shown to our table and offered water. Lovely ambience. Extensive menu. A large portion of mussels plus venison and haggis meatballs to start. Both had fish and chips as a main. Sadly no room for desserts 🥲 The food was very flavoursome and beautifully presented. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Toilets were clean.

It was such a lovely setting. Service was amazing nothing was a bother and the food was delicious even better the itison voucher
Excellent service, less pleasing food.

As on previous occasions, the ambience, service and drinks were all excellent.
On this visit, the food would have been up to the usual standard if the calamari had been served hot and the batter on the two (different ) main courses had been lighter.
Itison deal Reduced portions?

Nice restaurant, good service. However my personal opinion is that I had a starter priced at £14 (3 haggis and venison balls), which I felt did not deliver much for this price and fish and chips (£19), small fish on frozen chips with tiny mushy peas portion. I came away wondering if they reduce the portions if it an itison deal.
