Been several times to this hotel when its been on offer and was especially pleased the voucher extended through April as the castle was open to view
The room was spacious, comfy bed, clean bathroom and selection of biscuits including tunnocks teacakes that we didnt notice till we were leaving unfortunately, great addition !
The barmans service was excellent , friendly chat amd interested in us as customers , 1st class !
We enjoyed our evening meal where my husband said the Risotto was best he had and the corn fed chicken was delicious
The waitress service was also friendly too.
Only negative was our bedroom window seal needed replaced / window possibly as full of condensation and some mould on the edge with a mark on the light curtain. This took the shine of the room and overall standard umfortunately, however the great things outweigh this issue and we would continue to return to this hotel as its one of our favourites

Felt it was unnecessary to put an hourly charge on use of outdoor spa facilities of £29 per person
Had been before this was included in price unless it was because it was an itison voucher but I believe you should have full access to facilities included .
There was also only one small bottle of Prosecco in the room as part of the deal between 2 of us , spas Cara’s value for money thought it was poor

We were there with another couple and we all had a great time. All staff from reception, waiting staff and housekeeping were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Food was excellent too. No problems at all.

Enjoyed our stay, but one or two comments. Service good, but tables rather small - especially for breakfast, and removal of used plates etc could have been better. Disappointed there were only 4 sunbeds round the pool for such a large hotel, but can't offer any solution! Some fliers of local attractions would be useful. More blue badge parking is required. My sister had fish one night, and it was definitely overcooked. I opted for langoustine, but didn't manage to crack the shell. Probably the wrong choice for me. We were impressed by the welcomebox of goodies, however, a change from the normal shortbread or chocolate chip cookies. These are not really complaints, just our reservations. We enjoyed our holiday.

We left after one day of a prepaid two day stay. Internet simply did not work - either in the public areas or in the room. The prosecco advertised for two was one warm mini bottle left in the room and smaller than the advertised size. We had to do work while traveling, so could not justify staying a second day without internet. 4 staff members we spoke to about the problem all told us it did not work and has not worked for some time. We told the duty manager in the morning the reason for our early departure - no interest, no concern, no discussion, just 'here's your bill.' Really awful. We use itison a great deal, and this has been by far our worst experience. A shame because the hotel itself is rather nice.

We enjoyed our stay, the room was nice, well decorated and comfortable. However, were near the back of the hotel near the stair well and there was an unpleasant smell of cigarette smoke. The leisure facilities are nice but neither of us were fans of the unisex changing rooms.
