Great food, great staff, beautiful venue

Beautiful building, staff very helpful and attentive, and our afternoon tea was great.
We will definitely go again.
The food was good but music too loud.

We did enjoy our time at the Corinthian apart from the fact the music was far too loud. While the music was nice it could have been toned down a lot. It was hard to speak. The service was very good. Staff were pleasant and efficient.
My sister in law said it was great

Afternoon Tea

Really enjoyed the afternoon tea served in the Corinthian. Couldn’t fault it. Lovely surroundings, pianist playing what more could you want.
Great venue, great food, great service

The only thing that needs improved is we advised no fish and instead of an alternative sandwich they just removed the option with salmon
Not the best

The venue is stunning- no doubt about that. Have visited for other things and have always enjoyed it but the afternoon tea was poor.
Both in my party are vegetarian and rather than a sausage roll (on the menu and could be seen at other tables) the alternative was a literal shot glass filled with soup. It was hilarious being totally honest.
We went for the first available booking of the day when the venue opened at 12:00 but unfortunately the sandwiches were very dried out and also very flavourless. I appreciate when choosing vegetarian you are limiting the options but 3/4 were cream cheese & a vegetable. The other was unidentifiable.
The scones were nice enough but the cakes were unimpressive.
Overall the experience just felt underwhelming considering the venue is so beautiful. Disappointed to say the least! :(
Lovely place . Meal was good.

They forgot about our main meal. We did eventually get it. 40 mins later
Staff inexperienced

Staff inexperienced. Several times staff came to our table and table next to us with wrong order. We asked for water when we were seated at table to have to ask again when order was taken. We ordered soup for starters nice soup bread and nob of butter but was not very warm. Waiter on removing plates said he would not be long with mains. Half hour later still no mains it took another member of staff to realise we were still waiting due to two hour time slots. Waiter apologised and offered free drinks which were delivered to table next to ours. Food was macaroni with not much cheese very bland. Fish cake was tasty but very small. On talking to people sitting beside us they were all disappointed with service delivery and staff lack of experience. We have been here before on several occasions for meals and drinks also private functions. On the whole we were very disappointed. Staff just wondering around and not much knowledge about the food or table numbers. We would return due to the surroundings and atmosphere of the place as we have several events arranged with friends.
