I booked the afternoon tea to take my friend for a "girls" catch up. The scones and "fancies" were fine, but the sandwiches had obviously been sitting out, uncovered, as the bread had started to turn dry. I am not sure if any of the other afternoon tea folk who were there experienced the same but towards the middle of our afternoon a staff member came round with extra sandwiches on a separate plate and laid them on the table (and on some of the other tables too). These were much better and so much fresher, and its a shame it wasn't like that from the start. The staff were very attentive but its the first afternoon tea I have been at (and I have had many!) where you weren't allowed your own pot of tea (with extra hot water) the staff had to come round and top up your cup. I did ask for a pot at the start and was told they would have to charge me for it if I wanted to have this!
I would go to Glenhouse again though not for an afternoon tea as I have heard others speak of having lovely meals and would like to try that. I would recommend Glenhouse though with the proviso that we weren't enarmoured with the tea. I have put these comments here as its not a simple Yes or No! -

The food was tasty but not much of it for 2 people to
Share. Coffee was nice. Service was good when we got it, but overall a defo 6.5/10. We wouldn’t return sorry
