Tour and Tasting

• Experienced tour guides will take you into the exhibition space to share the history of the distillery and the area
• Whisky - discover how the single malt whisky is made using local ingredients, including a tour around the production area

• Both tours include a sample of three single malt whiskies or Darnley’s London Dry Gins

Dream to Dram

• Explore the distillery, learning all about the Scotch whisky industry and what makes Kingsbarns single malt unique
• Then head up to the tasting room for a tutored tasting of five incredible whiskies

Wemyss malt whisky blending workshop

• Engage in the art of Scotch whisky blending and create a bespoke whisky blend 
• First you will gain insight into how the team crafts their signature blends, such as The Hive, Spice King, and Peat Chimney
• You will then blend your own whisky and take home a miniature bottle of your creation

Darnleys gin school experience

• Become a distiller for the day and create your one-of-a-kind bottle of gin
• First you will get an introduction to gin-making, and then you will create your own recipe using a wide selection of botanicals
• As your gin distils, you will be taken on a tour of Darnley’s Distillery, with a tasting of the Darnley’s Gin range
• You will create a recipe together and take away one 70cl bottle of gin

Kingsbarns Distillery

• The family-owned distillery sits in a beautifully restored 18th century farm steading, surrounded by barley fields, bordered by woodland, with a view of the sea
• Nestled alongside is Darnley’s Gin Cottage, with its botanical garden full of plants and herbs, cultivated for creating gin recipes and distilling Darnley’s London Dry gin
• Their award-winning spirits have amassed over 200 awards including taking gold at The World Whiskies Awards 2025, and at The Global Gin Masters 2022 plus many more!
