Food was amazing, catered for all tastes, great lounge to unwind and play board games with friends. Chill and unwind after a day out. Just be aware there is no lift so request your floor in advance. Even a very fussy husband was happy.

The Caledonian Hotel was very central and we could see the ferry from our bedroom window. The tea tray was well stocked and included decaff, hot chocolate and biscuits. My dietary requests were accommodated and we dined in the restaurant both nights as the food was hot, tasty and served quickly. Only small niggle was the buffet breakfast - the items that were newly out were fine, but the poor mushrooms were shrivelled both mornings under the heat lamps. However, a first class continental selection.
