Taster session
- This is first step for anyone who wants to ride a fixed gear bike on a banked velodrome
- All equipment is included, so all you need to bring is yourself and enthusiasm!
- The coach will take you through a list of skills necessary for you to cycle on the banked surface safely
- If you've got the skills, you'll be eligible to progress to the next stage of accreditation
- Adult sessions run Tuesdays & Saturdays
- Family sessions run Sundays
Emirates Arena
- Purpose-built for the 2014 Commonwealth Games, the arena boasts world-class facilities and one of the largest gyms in the city
- The Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome is Scotland's first indoor velodrome and is open to anyone to enjoy cycling and ride the track
Small print
- Advance booking is required.
- Multiple purchases permitted.
- Duration: approx. 1hr.
- Phone bookings only. Members must register with Glasgow Club with a PAYG membership FOC ahead of booking.
- You risk forfeiting your voucher if you cancel within 24 hours of your booking.
- Multiple voucher purchases permitted.
- Children are classed as ages 8 - 15.
- Duration approx. 1hr.
- Max of 12 people per session.
- Equipment is included in your session price.
- Please wear suitable cycling clothing. Participants may bring their own helmet if it meets national safety standards and has its peak removed.
- Venue is wheelchair accessible.
- A small service fee will be applied to your order, you'll see the exact amount at checkout.
- Advanced booking required or risk forfeiting your voucher.
- You can use your paperless ticket from your itison account on any mobile device. Printed vouchers are also accepted.

The velodrome experience was huge fun. Our coach was excellent at coping with a range of skills and confidence levels.
I felt safe at all times but I felt challenged and I definitely learnt a lot.
You know you’re having fun when a stranger approaches you afterwards saying you had a huge grin on your face as you cycled round!
