- Situated atop its own terraced gardens, the hotel boasts stunning panoramic views of Rothesay Bay and the Cowal Peninsula
- The building dates back to 1892, when it was used as a hydrotherapy retreat
- Children permitted in family rooms; room upgrade required. Children aged 0 - 4 stay free of charge, 5 - 12 can stay at a supplementary charge of £15 including breakfast; payable directly. 12+ are classed as adults.

The hotel is very impressive lovely old Victorian building with great size rooms.Very comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and meals in the bar were very tasty and a good price. Our overall visit was great and we would return again .
