Arrived, meet by unpleasant greeting. Sat for twenty minutes before being serviced. Nice presentation of afternoon tea although white bread was stale. Selection of bite cakes again wouldn't say fresh. The restaurant was busy although staff didn't seem to know how to cope. There was several tables around us who experienced the same. If it wasn't for already purchasing this voucher I would have left. Very disappointed

Having been to St Judes a couple of years ago, using an itison voucher, I decided to buy a thank you for friends for Christmas.
Comparing it to the last time, the quality was poorer. It wasn't bad, just not great! Not much filling in the sandwiches, all the sandwiches were on brown bread which was quite thin, only 4 small cakes per person and didn't match what was on the menu. The plates felt like they had been made up in advance and left sitting out as the bread and cakes were quite dry.
The staff were pleasant and the venue was nice, but a bit on the cooler side!
I understand hospitality venues are feeling the pinch these days and overheads are high, but, personally, I'd rather pay more for better quality than not.
