I have bought tickets for my children both of whom are on the autism spectrum. How autism aware is the event? e.g. quiet areas

I also noted that we are not allowed to bring food and drink on site. Unfortunately one of my children has specific dietary / drink requirements. He only drinks a certain beverage which isn't readily available (peach flavoured) and is quite specific around the snacks he'll eat. I would hate this to spoil his visit. We are travelling in a large group of 10. The rest of the group would be purchasing items on the day. Would it be ok for me to bring these items only for him?

I'm afraid there are no quiet zones throughout this event, and we expect it will likely be quite busy and stimulating, with a lot of lights, sounds etc. If you personally think this would be suitable for your children then we'd love to have them along. I can let you know, generally speaking, food and drink can't be brought to the event with you.

Also having a child with autism I find this shocking. Does that not come under discrimination as the dietary requirements are due to the condition not just because they are fussy. My son would be fine with the sensory issues but he also will only drink 1 brand of juice which I know is not sold within the event. I think this is something that needs reviewed. I do not understand why if bringing proof they are autistic they cannot bring in their own food/drinks of they are sealed.

Just returned from a great xperience at the event.
What was very disappointing is that we travelled for an hour to get there, brought friends and were very much looking forward to the churros and food on offer. We entered at 8:35 (official time was 9;00 to find that some of the food vendors had already sold out and there were large queues at the others with a 15 minute queue for churros. On completion off the walk an hour later we returned to the food stands which all had sold out signs up. As the ticket price is the same for all sessions I expect the same access to food Asmara anyone else. It was meant to be part of the experience and we were very disappointed not to be able to get anything to eat. C. Bell. 281018

There's no allocated parking for this event and parking in the West End is very limited. We'd recommend taking advantage of the Park & Ride at Shields Road station and taking the subway to Hillhead or Kelvinbridge, or maybe getting the bus along if you can.

Multiple purchases permitted.

Tickets are valid for your specified ticket time - you can arrive up to 30 minutes before, but please ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes before your ticket time.

Duration: the GlasGLOW journey lasts approx. 60 - 90 minutes but there's plenty to keep you entertained if you'd like to take your time.

Suitable for all ages; under 3's go free but still require a ticket, children are classed as ages 3 - 15 years. Prams are permitted.

Great for all ages - there's one area which young children (and some adults!) might find a wee bit scary but it's well signposted so you can skip it if you prefer.

Some areas along the route include flashing lights and strobe lighting which are unsuitable for those with photo-sensitive epilepsy.

Outdoor event - remember to dress for the weather! If you want to get into the Halloween spirit, dressing up is more than welcome :)

Bringing food and drink is not permitted; food and drink will be available to buy onsite.

Alcohol is not permitted.

Toilets will be available and located along the route at multiple points.

Small bags are permitted.

Accessibility: Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are permitted but please note that parts of the route are narrow, including one optional area where the paths are particularly narrow. There are also a couple of inclines. If you have any queries, please contact glasglow@itison.com.

No pets permitted; assistance dogs only.
