We returned having taken our daughter to the event in 2018. We enjoyed our experience however, were extremely annoyed that after queuing to park there were no spaces and we were then left to find alternative parking and were late for the event. Had we taken our elderly parents we would have had to have gone home. This needs to be considered when selling tickets as clearly oversold.

Me, husband and our 3 years old had a great evening fun at the giant lanters in edinburgh zoo, we all loved it. Warm drinks and marshmallows as part of the tickets were great too

We absolutely loved the giant lanterns at Edinburgh Zoo. We went at 7.15pm and it wasnt too busy so we were able to fully enjoy the whole display. The path was easy to follow and my 6 year old managed it no problem. A lovely night for all the family. We got the Itison deal which included a hot drink and marshmallows which was super.

Fabulous display of giant, colourful lanterns.
You could spend a good 2 or 3 hours wandering round. Well worth the entrance fee

The lanterns are amazing. The catering facilities were abysmal. We were expecting marshmallows to toast but there weren't any. To be fair we were offered a cookie instead but we were looking forward to the marshmallows. There was also limited food in the zoos main restaurant which was surprising as I would have thought the zoo would have been able to cater for all the people attending the lanterns. On the plus side one of our party was lactose intolerant and her needs were well covered.

I did enjoy but it would have been betr if arrrows had been in place to follow , went up a dead end! Hot choc drink was good as it was sooo cold night . Shame we had to pay for car park,
