I've eaten at Red Onion before and expected the food to be better. My onion soup was a bit like a soup out of a tin with not much flavour and the cheesy crouton wasn't crispy or very cheesy. My fishcake was not very delicate, in fact it was so hard to cut through that I could have done with a steak knife to cut through the crust. Everything else was OK so I think it was just a Tuesday lunch time and bad luck as I know they are better than this.

1. Clean the toilets and floors where dirty,it is good to have a lovely front of house but the toilets let the place down badly,and the server never smiled at us once and when we left no thankyou for coming and hope you have a lovely meal very disappointing bot a good leaving experience.

The food was over cooked and had to return the first main meal of chicken and the fish cake was marginally better They let us have the drinks on the house

I used my RedOmiom voucher and it was great value. Luck was in a relaxed atmosphere, service was great and good fabulous
