Very poor

Hotel very dated and tired looking, you can hear everything from outside your room and from other rooms, some staff were fine but some were really rude and borderline aggressive in some instances, we asked for bed clothes to be changed because our child spilled something but we're told that they don't service rooms unless you're checking out, so they agreed to give us the linen so we could change the bed ourselves, breakfast was also very poor. There was plenty of it, just very poor quality
Excellent

One thing that is clear the rooms are badly in need of some refurbishment and upgrading. Whilst they are clean, they are dated. Simple things like no outlets for charging phones and iPads. The common areas are much better and generally ok although we didn’t use the pool. Long wait to get checked in, got e-mail before arrival suggesting an on-line check in would simplify check in. It didn’t same long queue and only one person at the reception desk. Breakfast at the hotel was generally fine with good selection of items. Ate in the Woodshed on first night ordered pizza and nachos it took over an hour for these to turn up. On second night ate in the main hotel. Ordered two burgers again it took over an hour for these to turn up. They were cold when they did. They’d been lying at the bar for a period of time. When they arrived the waiter tried to say that we’d given the wrong table number when the meal was ordered. Interesting the table behind us had the same issue and same excuse. Maybe an issue when your first language isn’t English. Not the best.
It is a lovely hotel in a lovely location

Everything was fine except for the checking in process.
You can’t check in before 3pm and when we arrived, the checking in queue was so long, we had to queue for an hour. There were only two receptionists dealing with us. Reception was definitely understaffed.
Great hotel for families

Very helpful young gentleman on reception, assisted with any questions. Family friendly menu , burger excellent. Good standard of room, renovated shower room. First class buffet breakfast with good choice.
Amazing hotel, with loads to see and do.

We stayed for a the hotel for two nights, loads to see and do for both adults and children.
Food and drinks also great, reasonably priced too.
Great location for the Cairngorms and town centre.
Great hotel but food isn’t good

I’ve stayed at the Coylumbridge Hotel a few times and have always really enjoyed it. The staff are excellent, the rooms are clean and it’s in a great location. The only downside and the reason I never gave 5 stars is the food. Breakfast is good but the evening meal buffet wasn’t nice. We stayed for 2 nights and ate there twice but when I come back I will definitely not eat in the restaurant. The food was overcooked and left far too long in the buffet area. My daughter was ill after eating on the second night. Another couple complained and got their money back . Recommend the hotel but eat elsewhere 😊
