The room was dreadful

Staff excellent. Lounge excellent. Area brilliant.
There was no accomodation for an adults only period in the swimming pool. Even an hour first thing in the morning would have been better. Quality of food at Breakfast poor. Full of sugar, luke warm. Their Pizza from the wood shack poor. Lttle options for small eaters re the buffet.
The room shocking. First room refused. Second room for a disabled person quite a walk to reception. Shabby. No facility to put your toileteries. Requires shelving to be installed. We had to put ours on the floor!!
No toilet brush!! I accepted there was no room service available. Shower facility good.
There should be some sort of compensation for having to tolerate this accomodation.
We had a very nice experience at this hotel. Generally very pleasant.

The hotel was perfect for a two night getaway. We had early check in which I recommend because the que at check in time was long. It was only £15 and completely worth it as we also got upgraded to a suite. The suite had a separate bedroom with bunks and a TV and my children loved it. The place can get quite busy and I recommend getting in early for everything from breakfast in the morning to the pool which is first come first serve. Breakfast is totally adequate but it would be nice if there were some vegan options at the cooked breakfast. The soft play is available at a discount for residents and my children loved it. The pool was also great. All in all it was a great place to visit but the menu options were a bit limited and we ended up eating elsewhere most of the time. Fish fingers on the children's menu would be a good start. The staff were friendly but at times seemed a bit unorganised or overwhelmed because they were understaffed. In the Woodshed on the Friday night there seemed to be one person on to take all the drinks and food orders and the que was large. The main point is that it is a nice family hotel with lots of amenities to keep everyone happy. We all enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The facilities are excellent and food is amazing. We really enjoyed the buffet option for breakfast and dinner - with various food options available at both.
Very good.

Room could do with being updated but was clean and comfortable. Staff were welcoming and public areas / restaurant were very nice. Swimming pool and changing facilities were very good although extremely hot!
Very relaxing peaceful stay

Everything was as expected, very peaceful location on the outskirts of Aviemore, good 20 minutes walk in or shuttle bus outside on main road
We only used the breakfast facilities and they were good, very busy but was asked if we would like quieter area, kid free which is a good option
Room very clean, reasonable size, modern bathroom and window that you can open,
Downside was check in, had already checked in online and there was a desk for this type of check in, thinking all we had to do was pick up keys, however everyone was told to wait in the same queue at 3pm which took over an hour, disappointing, maybe needs to be improved
Great as always

We visit regularly and always have a great time.
Checking in needs some improvement, queues are massive and checking in online before hand made no difference.
Fabulous hotel and facilities

2nd time visiting this hotel, we really enjoy it. Very clean lots of staff visible. A few of the arcade machines were still broken from our last visit, I think this needs to be addressed as its where the kids spend their time.
We loved the entertainment too, a kids disco on the sat night would be awesome.
Disappointed

This hotel is very suitable for young families,we are both in our sixties,so we should have done some research prior to booking,we checked in went to our room to discover we were next to a family with a few children and a dog, a few minutes later on the other side of our room another family with a very loud dog, which barked and growled any time somebody walked past made us rethink,we both agreed that it was unlikely we were going to get a decent sleep,as our home address was a two hours drive away we decided to check out and drive home, our own fault we are both light sleepers and as stated we should have done more research
