We were seated at a window overlooking Princes Street Gardens with a perfect view of Edinburgh Castle. 1925 at the Pompadour is located in one of the two grand old railway hotels that bracket Princes Street and it’s setting is magnificent.
The three course matched the setting, beautifully cooked and presented by an attentive and knowledgeable waiter.
An excellent lunch, highly recommended.

Food and service excellent but non discretionary 12.5% service charge on food and already expensive drinks made for an expensive meal for 2. Circa £170. Cheap it is not. I would visit again but only for a special occasion.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Pompadour and are greatly looking forward to our next visit.
The only suggestion we have is that it would be more appropriate to serve champagne in the proper glasses, as opposed to using wine glasses.
