This was our second visit and every bit as enjoyable as our first. It's quirky and stuffed with memorabilia. The atmosphere was vibrant with the cosy bar - and I mean really tiny - thronging, whilst in the lounge guests waiting to dine shared space with a ladies knitting group!
Service is friendly, informal but efficient. There's an inviting dinner menu with plenty choices to suit everyone. I enjoyed the best and biggest steak I've had in years and at a give-away price. And you can now get a full breakfast as well as a continental.
Bedrooms are in a house literally across the lane from the pub. Ours was spacious and with a modern bathroom.
This was a real find on our first visit and this won't be the last.

We had a lovely room, which was very comfortable. Bathroom very spacious but on the cool side.
Amazing food in restaurant, and excellent service from Anita and her team. Lovely breakfast also.
Loved sitting by the fire in the evening.
If returning i would go in summertime.

Lovely Inn. Very friendly welcoming people. Excellent service in very busy restaurant. Food was excellent. Cooked breakfast was great and worth the extra cost. Room was not in the Inn itself but just a few steps over the road. Lovely room, nicely decorated, large, high comfy bed. Very clean. Very large bathroom with big shower cubicle, again very clean and nicely decorated with complimentary toiletries.. very dog friendly too which was brilliant for us as we could take our dog with us.

Kirkstyle Inn is a homely, welcoming and quirky venue with welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. The food was excellent and well worth a visit even for non residents. The bar is well supported by the local community and provides a good selection of real ales.

Our visit was up to the usual high standard, as previous stays. Room 1 suits us and is very comfortable. Great walk in shower. The food was delicious and all the staff were very friendly and pleasant. Prices are competative and good value for money.

Staff are lovely, food is good, the room (1) was lovely and was spotless , the only thing that spoiled our stay was the loud noise wherever water was run in the upstairs room. It woke us up early both mornings . If this had been our first stay we probably wouldn't return. We were actually in the room above this one on our previous stay and would definitely ask for an upper room in the future. We did tell the staff when we were leaving so they could Check it out.
