A hotel in a beautiful location.

I understand that the hotel was taken over by the present owners in fairly recent times. They appear to being going through a period of upgrading and the entrance and dining rooms show evidence of this. Our room, however, was on the second floor which does not appear to have received attention yet with worn carpeting and tired furniture. While the bedding was spotlessly clean the shower had areas of mould which proper housekeeping should have seen and removed. Also the two wall mounted bed lights had no bulbs in them, and it was far from obvious how the bathroom radiator was made to work. Raising this with the staff brought an immediate response, but housekeeping should have ensured that these issues were not there in the first place.
Breakfast was satisfactory although the cooked breakfast items were cooked in advance and presented in metal containers resulting in them no longer being hot once on your plate. The evening meals were very good indeed and excellent value for money.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is situated in a most beautiful location.

The hotel was amazing and I am now looking forward to our next stay there. Staff are very good and friendly, rooms are very comfortable and spotless. Food is exceptional.

We stayed in a grand luxury pod but this was very small for 2 - not sure how 4 could share a pod. Little to no storage. Staff in hotel were friendly and helpful. Hotel could use a bit of a facelift. Location was great right on lochside.

The location of the hotel was perfect for visiting the surrounding area. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the food was 5 star. I will be visiting this hotel again with my family. The service at the hotel was excellent too.
