Jonathan at check in was fabulous, not only did he explain everything about our stay but also gave great advice on the local area, one which we'd never stayed in before. He even helped with details of local buses and looked up which one we'd need for the next day. The hotel itself was lovely, our superior room was lush, and scrupulously clean. We ate dinner on our first night which was very good, decent menu and great service, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was probably one of the best buffet breakfasts we've had anywhere. We will definitely book this hotel for the next time we're in Edinburgh.

Good quiet hotel within walking distance of the centre of Edinburgh.Room was spacious quiet and very clean. Lovely evening meal and good choice for breakfast. We enjoyed the complimentary wine and chocolates.

We had a lovely stay. Room was large, well appointed and impeccably clean (as was the whole hotel). The staff was fantastic-each and every one of them was very friendly, helpful and keen to make sure that our stay was prefect. We enjoyed the location in the old town, but only a 15 minute walk to the new town. The itison voucher was great value. This was our first time staying here, but it won’t be the last!

Iovely hotel checkkin staff were excellent. As it was my wifes birthday free upgrade to a beautiful roomwith excelliet view. Food was also excellent

Lively weekend at this hotel. The room was perfect, location good and fab breakfast.
The only downside for us was that onside parking was already full by the time we checked in and we had not arrived late in the day. We had to park in a nearby NCP car park which was quite expensive for a 3 day stay so be aware.

Great hotel and easy access to Princess St, Grassmarket and Playhouse theatre.
