Very nice stay in this lovely boutique hotel, breakfast was ideal, not too much where you tend to overindulge if you have Scottish breakfast, so plenty with what’s on offer.
We stayed in a Grand Plus room was nice & spacious, a couple of minor points that the coffee table was broken & should have been taken away as it wasn’t needed by us and one the curtains didn’t close properly leaving a large gap, which was just as well it had a blind otherwise it would have been awful in the morning.

It was better than expected. The only improvement I can suggest is to lower the height of the hand basin in the shower room by a few inches. On reflection the height was ideal if I was 2/3 inches taller.

Booked the Ranald Hotel through Itison for our 11th Wedding Anniversary.
It exceeded our expectations from start to finish.
Staff were all helpful, polite, friendly and professional.
House keeping was to a very high standard, everywhere was clean and fresh.
Nice matching decor throughout.
Breakfast had a nice selection. No full cooked available but they did do bacon and poached eggs. Plenty selection for most.
Great selection of both malt whisky and gins at very reasonable prices.

1)The bed and bedding quality was excellent!
2)couldn’t get the hot water to work in the kitchen which meant having to boil kettles to do the dishes.
3) soap dispenser needed screwing on to the wall better i. the bathroom as did the pole bracket for the shower hose
These did not in any way spoil our experience but perhaps more vidulance with maintenance required!

Central location for ferry, bus and train. Parking outside the Ranald Hotel cost £11 per day which we felt was very reasonable as it's on street parking. Pay by phone simplified matters. Reception extremely helpful. Apartment warm and comfortable. Bed extremely comfy. Kitchen had everything you'd need. No hairdryer but it was only a 3 day stay. But something you would need to know in advance. Within walking distance of supermarkets, main shopping area. Hot water EXTREMELY hot if children in apartment be aware. Controlled by immerser switch so only put it on for short periods to give you enough hot water for dishes etc.

Loved our stay at the Ranald. The hotel was spotless and cosy and the staff were for friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was brilliant too.

The apartments are very close to everything in Oban. Staff in the hotel were all friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the amenities were as expected . A lovely break!
