Helpful staff and excellent food but the hotel itself is in need of an upgrade especially the bathrooms.

Whilst nowhere near the best hotel where we have used itison, it was certainly the best value. A good breakfast and although the dinner menu has been the same for years, it is acceptable

This was our 2nd visit. The reviews of this hotel may not be great but this is a budget hotel that is a warm, pet friendly hotel that has good public areas, friendly & helpful staff & comfortable albeit not swish accommodation. Breakfasts & Evening Meals were good. If you pay budget rates, do not expect top class accommodation so it's unfair to leave reviews that do not weigh up the overall experience & value.

Room was noisy from kitchen below and don know if room above was for staff but constantly hearing feet walking across the creaking floor boards even during early hours of the morning did ask at reception and why I don’t know but the two members of staff didn’t seem to know who was in room above which seems odd, food was average breakfast food was not topped up quick enough

The hotel rooms were a bit tired but very clean.
Breakfast choice was really good and buffet style. There were a number of guests as there was a coach load from Europe but all items were available and plentiful at the buffet.
Bar was reasonable priced at less than £5 a pint.
Lots of car parking however entrance at one end had huge holes and in need of repair as could damage car.
Great value with Itison especially with the £30 F&B voucher with mains priced from £17. Mains were generous servings, could not manage dessert which all looked great

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there we go every year and are never disappointed. Lovely and peaceful looking across Loch Long

We had a mid week stay with friends. The staff were friendly, the food was excellent. Self service breakfast with plenty choice. Our rooms were basic and a bit tired and in need of some upgrade, however they were clean and the beds comfy. View from room was disappointing overlooking the bins and old outhouses. It was a lovely view from the front of the hotel which can be seen from diningroom.
