Broadly as expected. It was a shame our room overlooked the car park, given that the hotel clearly was not full.
Unfortunately, the sauna was out of order during our visit.

Hotel was fine room was spacious but a bit dated Staff were obliging but their prices for food and drink were way over the top with soup at £9 and a budger for £24 also large glass of wine £13 disappointed with this.

Hotel as always is a great choice for my wife and I to visit every year. We love Threave Gardens, Logan botanics and Kirkcudbright. Service, facilities and food all first rate.

Beautiful historic building with fabulous original features. Grounds and golf course are lovely.
Food and service in the restaurant was very nice.
Room was spacious but dated, and not in keeping with the rest.
Staff were lovely. Good to have games etc. Would definitely return .

Cally palace is in a lovely setting with a golf course and woods. Our room was vey large with a really comfortable bed. Staff in all departments were very friendly and helpful. We didn’t use the pool this time but it’s a good size and looked lovely.
There was a good choice for dinner with market menu and a main menu.

Had a lovely large, clean, warm room, a comfortable bed and a lively outlook. Very tasty breakfast with good choices and dinner in the restaurant was delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This was a return visit. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms very comfortable. Food lovely.

We had a lovely couple of days but we were a bit disappointed in the overall experience compared to to the previous visits. There was just an overall drop in standards eg a tray of dirty glasses and plates of food was in the corridor on our arrival and was still there more than 24 hours later.
We will return but with slightly lower expectations

Pool area was disappointing . Harsh lighting and atmosphere dull . Couldn’t get into the sauna.
