Stay was ok however I expected better at the price point.
We arrived 45 minutes after check in and still had to wait 10 minutes for our room to be ready.
Room was spacious and bed was comfy enough.
It was like a maze trying to find the room though, lots of stairs leading to doors, leading to more stairs leading to more doors. When in the room you could hear every step that was taken in the corridor.
The coffee at breakfast was lovely, didn’t have anything to eat so can’t comment on the food.

Check-in smooth and quick. Discount code for parking was great! Got an upgrade to a bigger room, lovely! Lily O’Brien chocolates and water in room was a lovely touch! Bed comfy! Breakfast typical buffet style, again, lovely! Free prosecco on check in! Would absolutely stay again! Great value for money and perfect central location!

This is a great deal to relax and unwind. The fizz on arrival is a nice touch, as well as having a dinner allowance rather than a set menu - it means you have to flexibility to enjoy what you want off the full menu. Will be looking for this offer again in the future!

We stayed one night in December last year to do a bit of Christmas shopping and having enjoyed the hotel and it's location so much decided to come for two nights.
On arrival we were met by a very pleasant and cheery lady in reception but as we were early to arrive she kept our luggage in a secure room while we walked a short distance to the town centre. Later on we checked in to a lovely clean warm room before heading out for the evening. Overnight room was quiet and a comfy bed gave us a good nights sleep. Buffet breakfast in the mornings was very good but as we ate out in the town both nights cannot comment on the restaurant. Overall a pleasant two night stay and will definitely return again.
Great Central Hotel

Visited several times now for a shopping weekend. Cosy, friendly and very central. Rooms rather small and very limited storage but extremely clean and well maintained. Beds very comfortable! Lovely staff and good food and great range of cocktails. Will go back again.
