Not much to do in terms of location unless you're walking or climbing.

MacDonald hotel's boiler was broken , but they let us stay in their other hotel 5 mins down the road The Tailrace Inn , dropped the £20 weekend charge and gave us 2 free drinks . We still ate in The McDonald's restaurant and the good was great .
Perfect location and view

On arrival we had been shown to a double room which i never booked..i had booked a twin room but this was quickly rectified in less than a minute. The rooms were lovely as was the food. Value for money. The staff were lovely and spent time chatting with us. Milly the managers dog was very friendly. The locatiom and views are added magic to the hotel. We will definately be back.

Not enough staff - one member trying to look after bar, serving food and checking in guests. They did the best they could and were pleasant .
Hotel always cold. Problems with our room- heating not working and shower constantly dripping. Had to ask for another room which should have been offered in the first instance.
Quality of pillows and duvets way below par. Plastic tumblers in room instead of glass. Towels were of low quality and very small. Room was not serviced during our stay. Breakfast was practically inedible. No proper reception area and no one around on check out. Only plus is the location of the hotel. I wished I had checked reviews before I purchased voucher as I would not have proceeded and surprised that It Is On is recommending this hotel. Would not return here.
