Dreadful hotel, rude staff ruined our anniversary

If you book with a voucher they will make you feel like poor second class. We didn’t enjoy it at all and not what we were expecting. Dirty, pokey little room complete with dusty walls and mucky stains on the carpet and ceiling.
Expect cooked breakfasts that are stone cold and uncaring, poorly trained staff serving you at dinner. Diabolical evening meal, again cold, run out of food, tiny portions and extortionate prices.
At best it’s a fancy b&b duping customers into thinking they will get 4 star experience when all you’ll get is 2 star at most.
The website also misleads people by saying it’s on the Holyrood estate. This is a total fabrication. It’s a 30 minute walk to Holyrood Palace. The b&b is in the middle of a university campus, nothing else around it. My advice is book somewhere else as we’ve wasted our money.

Gave this to my parents for Christmas, and they absolutely loved the hotel. Good quality food for breakfast and the hotel was a great base for a concert at night. They would without a doubt return to the hotel.
