Staff were excellent. On reporting that the shower wasn't working they immediately moved us into another room.

Had a lovely 2 days at this hotel . Room clean and comfortable and had been updated , although the bathroom tub could be doing with a replacement . All staff very pleasant and attentive. Breakfast was usual buffet type, but no issues . Evening meal on the Sunday was limited , but was very good. We opted to dine in on the Monday and although there were more options , they were of the frozen/ microwave type .
Would return again, but would probably dine out. Great location for cliff walks. We were not charged for parking and were not asked for a deposit as stated in the conditions for booking.
Enjoyable stay but the main course of the meal was disappointing.

Our accommodation was excellent.
Must do better

Great location, some great staff sadly let down by the food and the rest of the staff.
On arrival the cistern in our allocated room was running constantly, the welcoming and apologetic receptionist quickly reallocated another slightly bigger room with a better view, so far so good.
Dinner was limited to three choices per course, our steak pie was more like a Pukka Pie than a typical Scottish steak pie and the raspberry tart served with no offer of cream or ice cream was drier than dry. Staff at dinner were helpful and chatty.
Breakfast was a disaster. Buffet options all ran out, no tea or coffee were offered and when we did ask one of the staff if we could have some he was quick to point out that he wasn't the drinks guy. I understand that hospitality staffing may be a difficulty in such a remote location but the lack of staff and food was disappointing.
The hotel has great potential given it's location but obviously needs more, better trained staff.
Tired and food poor

The setting and staff were first class. We have staid at the Port Patrick a number of times. This experience was disappointing in respect to the hotel and food. The room 213 requires a deep clean from skirting to doors. We had an evening meal on our first night. The starter and main meal were overcooked it felt like it had been prepared at lunch time However Every member of the staff team were attentive, polite and professional but were clearly understaffed
Lovely location, friendly, helpful staff
