Heard so many great recommendations for here and it didn’t disappoint. Welcomed by a warning open fire on a very cold day (although couldn’t get the seat nearest :-)) in the lounge for drinks and menu choice . A little bowl of olives came with our drinks which was a lovely touch . We opted for the 4 course lunch and although the plates are the biggest the flavour and presentation more than makes up for this . Little extras like the crisps with hummus dip , sourdough bread and amuse bouche added to the experience. Staff were attentive and friendly but not overly so that you feel awkward.
Favourite was the dessert hot mango and lime mouse like a souflee with coconut crumble, delicious!!
Will definitely be back .

I love the Peat Inn and have done for many, many years , visiting for lunch and also doing the overnight experience including a wonderful breakfast. On Friday, my son and I enjoyed a traditional birthday lunch in the garden room overlooking a snowy January scene. As ever, the service was top notch and our meal, beginning with a botanical drink served with Perello Gordal olives through a 4 course delicious lunch.
The Peat Inn has never failed to come up trumps, when other restaurants have failed to be consistent. We can't wait until our next visit. Having an Itison voucher was an added bonus!

Excellent service. Professional and friendly. Made to feel very welcome, and great attention to detail throughout our visit. Food was delicious and presented beautifully. Plenty of space between the tables which made the space very comfortable..

As always the food, service and ambience are near perfect.
The young lad that served us was very knowledgeable of every dish we were served and exceptionally polite and friendly.
Really can't ask for anymore to be honest and we look forward to our next visit.

I gave a friend the voucher for lunch at The Peat Inn.
She phoned me that same evening to tell me that the whole experience, from the minute that she and another friend walked in the door, was superb. The hospitality, service, food, ambiance - all superb. So, bravo toall who made the experience so brilliant,
