Food and service fantastic. Just wish the fire had been on in the bar but appreciated the table in the garden room.
Fabulous in every way!

We went as a party of four and we all had a fantastic lunch experience (our friends asked to come with us as they had not had the privilege of having lunch at The Peat Inn before).
The 3 course lunch is of exceptional standard and well worthy of the accolades received. 100% customer service from booking ( I had to amend our booking) , to the reception by staff on arrival (even opening the door for us as we arrived) and the staff throughout the meal. It was such a quiet, relaxing setting and although it seemed busy in all “the nooks” the tables are set in, it was still quiet and we didn’t feel neglected at any point.
The timing between courses adds to the relaxed atmosphere.
What more can we say, it was perfect from start to finish and our friends absolutely loved it, making a special day for us as it was a “big birthday” for two of our party!
Thank you to all at The Peat Inn👏

Friendly, attentive service and outstanding food.

Unusually, the cheese course stood out. This is because it was generously sized and had no supplemental charge (so favoured by most 'top-end' restaurants). All of the food was interesting, delicious and beautifully presented. Lang may yer lum reek.

Our favourite restaurant
The Peat Inn - as always! - was excellent by every criterion

Superb! Never disappoints.
The atmosphere, the service, and last, but by no means least, the food was memorable.
You ask if I'd go again. I certainly would- in a heartbeat! I just love the place, as do any folks I take with me.
I wouldnt change a thing - well maybe the availability of parking spaces, but, hey, we managed.
A taste delight

We had lovely welcome drink in the lounge with olives, then a chance to browse the menu. There was a choice of 2 starters, 2 intermediate, 2 mains and 2 deserts as well as cheese board. To our delight we were also given appetisers and petite fours. Everything’s was knowledgeably described and a taste sensation. It felt like being on masterchef! It was delicious and we would definitely recommend and will certainly return.
Excellent dinner but not given the room we had booked

We go for the excellent food and we were not disappointed. We booked the Higham room but were given Cameron which has a different configuration. The shower in Cameron couldn't be used, the thermostat wasn't working and the water was scalding. We were asked to use the shower in the next room, which we did but the heated towel rail didn't work there. We were given complementary drinks before dinner which was a nice gesture and a plumber had been arranged to address the faults on the day we left.
