Not so much a review of mini grill food or service but the extras added on. Bought my friend this voucher as a thank you. She booked and was required to pay a £10pp deposit which she did. Enjoyed the meal and purchased another glass of wine and a lager assuming their deposit would have covered this unfortunately they had to pay another £7.00 as they had to pay a service charge??? Surely the original voucher price should have included this. Even at today's prices this appears extreme. I have purchased many of your vouchers for friends and never have expected anyone to have to pay another service charge as I assume this charge was included in voucher price. Is this your policy or is it just Mini Grill offering a discount but then clawing back. This has unfortunately put me off buying your vouchers as I do not expect the recipients of my gifts to have to pay extra for something I have gifted them. I look forward to your response

Nice friendly staff at the mini grill food was very nice but did not get our glass of Prosecco and was back home when I remembered

Our steaks were delicious and the voucher was great value. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely return to the restaurant even without an Itison deal as our visit was very enjoyable.

The restaurant was busy which is a great first impression. We were seated at the back of the restaurant beside the serving hatch and staff mingled and chatted here all during our meal. We were expecting a great meal based on the reviews and we were disappointed. The red wine jus over the beef was very very thick. We ate our meal and left to have additional drinks elsewhere

Small restaurant on Bath street. Starters and mains were 10/10. Genuinely couldn’t have been better. My wife had the steak, cooked to perfection and a quality bit of meat, raved about it.
Only minor gripe would be Kelvin lager which is the only lager on draught and is undrinkable. Nobody needs flowery tasting lager. I’m all for supporting local suppliers but it’s so bad I had to leave some of it. They have bottled West. Get that on tap and you’ve solved the problem and still support local.

Restaurant at the Charing Cross end of Bath St, ideal for the Kings Theatre. Small restaurant that could feel claustrophobic if full but when we were there it was a nice balance. Server really friendly and efficient. Good wine selection. Plenty meat on the roast beef, slightly overcooked ie: medium more medium well and medium rare more medium. Good choice of veg, baked veg tasty, charred veg a bit on the hard side. Yorkshire pudding good but would’ve preferred a traditional gravy than a sweet, sticky glaze. 10% service charge standard and remembered to take off pre- payment at booking. Had a lovely meal and on the itison deal, was great value.

Went for Sunday lunch and it was beautiful, the beef was really tender and tasty. Would highly recommend.
